the requirements set forth in the tenants of the organization, and 

be approved by the senior members before they can be considered 

for membership in this elite crew.

I was stuck in the bar me father owned on the shore, doomed to a life of drudgery.  He came in and you might say I convinced him to kidnap me.  We've been together since.  In hard times, you might find me using me charms to isolate a man from his purse, but times haven't been too hard on the sea. The Captain's a good man, and I've never regretted goin' with 'im.

Alexander St. John

     

First Mate: Alexander St.John.

 

I was at the end of my rope when I met Antonio De Colorado, literally. The locals didn't believe one such as I could be so fortunate with the dice. Suddenly in the midst of the mob there were several explosions, enough diversion for me to get free.  Antonio was good with with explosives, but even better at hand to hand and together we broke free of the mob and ran to the docks.  It was there when I first saw HER.  Antonio said, "A man with your talents shouldn't waste 'em on those who don't appreciate 'em--what say you, the rope or the sea?" So we both swam for HER, the ship, Ravenheart.

Talisman

     

Mystical Seer, Healer and Siren: Talisman

 

    Lady Talisman Howard, Viscountess Nottingham;
(adopted) daughter of Lord Charles Howard, Earl of Nottingham, Lord High Admiral;
bastard daughter of Sir Francis Drake, one of her (adoptive) father's Privateers.
    Upon hearing the news from her Aunt, Lady Douglas Sheffield in a fit of anger over "that Spawn of Satan Leicester!" that she was Drake's bastard, and having a certain talent for the healing arts, and Cassandra like quality that made her subject to comments of heresy, fled so as not to shame her adoptive family. She joined with the Ravenheart crew for shelter, and the odd hope of finding her father, and learning the circumstances of her birth which Lord Howard refused to divulge. She is still on good terms with her family, and they wish she would "come to her senses and come back to Court and the protection of your family", but she cannot help but heed the call of the sea.
    Her knowledge and experience at Court opens doors, while her fortune telling and healing abilities opens pockets. Having her around lends a certain respectability to the crew when needed.
They say she used a spell to charm and calm Mad Dog Mack into following her to the Ends Of The Earth. Of course, he thinks she's following him, since his life's work is to prove the Earth is flat, and his last ship failed to reach The Edge. "He who controls the corners of the Earth, has the best view." She claims she merely smiled her Siren smile and stated, "I'm going that way anyway, would you like to tag along?"

Artemesia Grace 

     

Ships Physician, Healer and Historian: Artemesia Grace. 

 

I was born in Portsmouth, England.  I was educated to be a physician-surgeon by my father and uncle.  I practiced in Portsmouth till I married Alexander Grace, a lieutenant in the Royal Navy.  He left for Jamaica to prepare his plantation for me. I followed him to Jamaica. When I arrived I discovered he died in a tavern brawl and was deeply in debt.  I lost everything and had nowhere to turn to. I wrote to my father but had no response. Katie the Black recruited me for the Ravenheart and I have been aboard her ever since.

Cantankerous Caroline

     

Purser, Cutthroat and Master Cook : Cantankerous Caroline.

 

The widow of a wealthy merchant, continued to conduct the business following his untimely death. She caught the eye of Robert the Blue several times while perusing  the merchandise of the Ravenheart. Robert soon was charmed by Caroline and found her Cantankerous nature responded well to his love. She soon forsook her class and gladly joined the Ravenheart crew.

Robert the Blue 

     

Boatswain and Master Gunner: Robert the Blue.

 

The eldest son of a wealthy Scots merchant. Upon my return from a voyage, I found my father killed and my estates confiscated.  Getting my crew, we hit the baron, killing several of his men-at-arms. We were pursued to the shore of a small inlet where we were backed to the ocean.  About this time Capt’n Antonio hove into view and sent a salvo into the baron’s men who departed (what was left of them). I was offered a place with the Ravenheart and have been with her ever since. (My crew chose to go their own way).

Frenchy

     

Ambassador, Cunning Linguist and Corsair: Frenchy

 

Frenchy grew up in the streets of Avignon, fighting and running. He was wily and hot tempered. All who crossed him remarked on his cold eyes. He was accused of robbery and murder after a fire broke out at an inn in Gardenne, a town near Marseille. Frenchy fled to the port in Marseille and stowed away on the Ravenheart (after clubbing the watchful bosun over the head). His dead eye with the pistol made Frenchy a natural pirate, and Captain Antonio de Colorado granted him a place on the rolls as an ordinary seaman. Shortly after, Frenchy's expertise with so many foreign tongues impressed Katie the Black and other female crewmates so much, that they pressed the Captain to appoint him as Ships Interpreter Extraordinaire as well.

Lilli LaRue 

     

Cruise Director: Lilli LeRue.

 

After a childhood on the streets, Lilly was taken in as an Apprentice Distiller of Absinthe at the Moulin Rouge.  She learned much very quickly, and took over as Master Distiller when her mentor passed away in mysterious circumstances.  While celebrating her good fortune, a Pyrate named Frenchy talked her into letting him taste her wares.  Lilly woke up on a pyrate ship, her insides heaving as the ship heaved on the bounding main.  Soon realizing that Frenchy kidnapped her for the good of the clan Ravenheart, she decided to stay but switched her allegiance (and her bed) to the good Clifford Notes, having become enamored of his brief yet witty style of speech.

Breena - Pirate Princess

         

Procurement Specialist and Captains Daughter: Breena -Pirate Princess  

 

Born to the captain and the lady of the ship, I was raised on the sea. Learning the ways of pirating I grew to it quickly, and loved my home on the waves. However, at 15, I was set off the ship on the coast of Nice. You see, at that young age I learned that you never argue with the captain, even if he is your father. And so I roamed about France making my way as a petty thief, and catching the eye of many a wealthy, yet slow witted merchant. I did well enough to have the finer things, but still I missed the salty air that I breathed as a babe. In my travels I found myself in Italy. There I met a handsome lad who tended to a vineyard in Calabria. He had seen none of the world save what was around him there. With my riches we decided to sail the seas. Paying our way on a cargo ship bound for British Isles, we were on the ship no more than a day when it was over taken by a most wretched lot; my family. I was glad to be home, and my Italian lad would see the world the best way you can, from the bounding mane.
